Week 2 - Chart Improvement

Our second task was to first recreate a chart produced by the Financial Times, then produce another chart improving it.

IMF Lending

This first chart is a recreation of a chart from the Financial Times showing outstanding IMF loans over time.

IMF Lending as Percentage of World GDP

This second chart contextualises the lending as a proportion of global GDP, using IMF data on the annual SDR/USD exchange rate to convert World Bank data on global GDP in USD to SDRs.
